Tie One On

Tie One on!

Can you guess what the challenge theme is at CAS-ual Fridays?
If you guessed Party with Ribbon, you are correct!!

May Arts is our super awesome sponsor and they VERY generously provided the Girl Fridays with the most delightful ribbon ever!  Our inspiration parade is packed with color and texture and you will be drooling for sure :)

check out this dynamic wide turquoise grosgrain!  It makes an amazing textured panel.  I was so tempted to tie a big juicy bow with it but I controlled myself :)  Instead, I added a few pops of color with the crinkly ribbon.  Aren't those colors delicious?  They work perfectly with the fun little sentiment from Market Street Stamps.

Are you ready to get your party on?  Come tie one on with us at CAS-ual Fridays!!

DeNami's Cute Chickies Blog Hop

So are you having a great time 'chickin' out the adorable chickies?
If you've arrived from Annette's blog, you are in the right place,
but if you've just wandered in, you simply must start from the beginning so you don't miss any of the delightful projects using DeNami Design's Chickies that this parade of designers has created!

I just love the little baby chicks in PF38 Spring Chicks set.
As you can see they nest easily inside F166 Baby Circle stamp
For a little added fun, I created the dotty background by inking 3 different colors onto N136 Medium Polka Dots.
This could easily be adapted to pinks or blues if you want to be gender specific :)

Now off you go to Heidi's blog!

Can I get a Yahooooo??!

Our fabulous sponsor and all around sweet lady, Lisa Hjulberg from The Craft's Meow, has generously supplied all the Girl Fridays with some of her fabby stamps to piecey with.

I had a lot of fun with this sweet little birdhouse :) Pretty jazzy, eh?

Ok, so you have all week to find some time to play along.
I can't wait to see your entry in the gallery at

A super cute little stamp that is great for those of you who like to color,
and those of us who like to paper piece!

Aren't those little tweety birds delightful?
and they work perfectly with F190 Just Chickin' Up on You that I carefully inked so the sentiment stretched under the little guys.

Lots more eye candy for you on the

DeNami Sketch Challenge

It's Monday!
Ok, Monday by itself isn't really all that worthy of an exclamation point but when it brings a brand new Sketch Challenge from DeNami Design...well, that's something to get excited about!!

Oh boy!  This is a fun one!!

You can use it as is or flip it around if you'd like, just have fun with it using your DeNami Design stamps :)

J135 Large Open Umbrella is fun to paper piece :)  It also works perfectly with the sweet sentiment, F184 Under the Weather
The rainy background was created using A82 Seeds/Drops.  Such a fun little stamp to make raindrops, splashes or use as watermelon seeds :)

To complete the shopping list, I also used White Grosgrain Ribbon, White, Red and Sky Blue Cardstocks, and Embossed Bracket Border Punch.

Really looking forward to seeing which stamps you use for your sketch creation!

Paint the Town!

It's time to Paint the Town at

Ok, these are seriously fun colors and I could have gone in 6 different directions just off the top of my head, but one of the first thoughts I had were these clouds and I couldn't resist them :)

If only there were grey gingham clouds...sigh :)

So of course I used the Gingham background-one of my favs!  Also featured here are Ain't No Sunshine and Sure Miss You.

Be sure to check out this fun color challenge on the
for your chance to win something yummy and see lots of cool inspiration!

I used the new Make a Memory set and created my own background using those darling luggage stacks.
The little luggage tag was the perfect place for a sentiment so I used a few textured stickers and added some twine.
I am CHA bound!  And I am so excited to get to meet Angelica and Jorge as well as some of my teamies: Stephanie, Tifany, Dobea and Jen!  EEEEK, so exciting!!
If you are going to CHA, PLEASE come visit us at booth 2611 :)

Perfect timing too...it's snowing here in Colorado and I can't wait to stick my toes in the California sunshine :)
One more sleep and then it's wheels up baby!!

I've loved my time here, it's been a blast!!

I don't like good-bye's so instead, I'm saying...

I used some of my favorite things from some of my favorite places :)
Buttons from DeNami Design, Stamp from Market Street Stamps, ribbon from American Crafts via Archivers, stickers from EAD Designs-Paper Smooches collection.

There is a wonderful prize and lots of fabby inspiration from my team-mates!

Birds of a Feather Sneaky Peeky

Tonight kicks off the first of the sneaky peeks and trust me you'll want to see them all!
I'm playing with Birds of a Feather designed by our very own Tifany DeGough and I am just smitten with this set!

Isn't he just adorable?  He's full of love :)

Happy Birthday Angelica

Today is Angelica's birthday and we are
CELEBRATING
with a surprise party blog hop just for her :)

You should have arrived with Michelle but if not, please head back to Kathy's and gather up the crew on your way :)
I don't like to show up to a bash empty handed, so I brought the margaritas!!  Woot  Woot!!

Now I don't personally know too much about Margaritas because
A) I'm a red wine girl and  B) they have tequila in them and in my house we call it
te-kill-ya because it te-kills-me!  Aaaaahh, LOL, no seriously it does, but I do know that you have to salt the rim of the glass and that I did with real salt!!

A little glue pen, a dash of salt and BAM! Salted rim :)  Since salt is a cooking 'tool' (pretty sure I can make that fly *wink*) and I applied it in my kitchen, I thought we'd take the party to Moxie Fab World's The All Around The House Challenge!!
I think Angelica and her Market Street Stamps are pretty darn Moxie Fab so it's entirely appropriate :)  Besides, what's a party without Cath??
I used Tiki Time and Too Many Martinis-oooh!  I can do martinis!!
I think it's time for a toast...
Angelica, happy happy birthday girl!  You are wonderful, thoughtful, fun, and lets not forget talented!
I hope your day is off the hook, and fa-shnizzles your nizzle :)
*clink, clink*
Ok, we need more people in this party, will you be a dear and go get Leane?  And ask her to bring the vermouth, it's time for martinis!!

Penguin Suit

January 20th is Penguin Awareness Day!
Nope, not kidding :)
So in honor of the chilly little guys, we are going all black and white at

That's right.  Black. And. White. That's it.  Not a stitch of any other color.

Come give it a try!
And just wait til you see what the Girl Fridays createded...off the hook as usual :)

PDCC 115

It's time to get your color on at

Not gonna lie, these colors kicked my butt!
I love the way they look together but I had a hard time figuring out what to do with them.
This is what I came up with...

I don't love it, but I do really like the burlap with the Woodgrain background from Market Street Stamps.  The wonderful sentiment is from the Comforting Florals set.

Come on over to The Play Date Cafe and give the colors a whirl.
There is a yummy prize up for grabs!

Highs and Lows

is all about highs and lows.
What?

Simple.  It's all about scallops!

This week I got inky Paper Smooches style!

Isn't that little toast guy just the cutest?!
I think he goes perfectly with the pattern paper from TPC Studios.
I was so excited to get invited by Kim Hughes to come work in her booth at CHA!!
THAT was a very happy email to get :)
I'll be spending time with the Market Street Stamps booth too-YAY!!!
Only 2 more weeks and I just can't wait!!
If you're going to CHA please stop by one of the booths and say hi.
I LOOOOVE meeting inky friends :)

In the meantime, stop by CAS-ual Fridays and see what the Girl Fridays have for your oohing and aahing delight.
This is a fun challenge with a great prize from our sponsor
